My name is Aleksandra Mazur-Bryła. I am a native speaker of Polish living in the UK since 2004. I have been doing translations and interpreting since 2003. In 2010 I started providing my translation services in the UK as In Polish Words. I also cooperate with other professional translators in order to be able to meet any of your translation needs.

• QUALIFICATIONS:

I hold a degree in Polish Philology awarded by the University of Warsaw, the Diploma in Translation qualification awarded by the Institute of Linguists (CIoL) Educational Trust and I am also an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists which means that I am am bound by their code of professional conduct (for details see “Membership” section of the CIoL website) and therefore, you can rely on my absolute confidentiality. I also hold the Certificate of Proficiency in English awarded by the University of Cambridge.

• EXPERIENCE:

I used to work as a copywriter in Poland and for the past six years have been working as a bank officer in the UK. As part of all my jobs I have translated and interpreted between English and Polish languages. I am competent translating in the following areas of specialisation: art, literature, advertising, banking, insurance, environment, technology and science. I have experience translating general correspondence, letters of reference, CVs, covering letters, promotional articles, leaflets, brochures, the contents of business or cultural websites, social networking sites or invitation to tender documents.
